Warped likes it joke its to 'keep out the fish people'---in reality, Cari just thought it looked cool. The block palette is based on sandstone and terracotta, with some jungle wood sourced from the small biome on the south of the island. The architecture and build style is inspired by Islamic architecture, though the creator herself is not Muslim. Cari just enjoys researching other cultures, and adores a beautiful arch and intricate tilework.\n\nThe name \"Hotland\" is an Undertale reference, though the locations bear almost no resemblance.\n\n## **DOCUMENTS**\n\n**Hotland rules (to be updated)-**\n\n1: Respect the land and wildlife. It was constructed by Revenant and Galahad, who helped out at Hotland's inception but have since disappeared. It contains many chests and starter crafting stations and farms. It was built before auto-locking chests were implemented, which proved to be an issue; luckily, Coffee was willing to unlock everything. This base camp is also the site of the “Coast Trim Counterfeiter” incident perpetrated by Geared\\_Player (who has since been banned for griefing).\n\n**Fishing guild embassy-**\n\nThe fishing guild embassy was constructed by Cari at Birb’s request for the fishing guild users to have a place for arid freshwater fishing. It is located on the western shore of the small island. Here, players can catch Freshwater Puffer, Mediterranean Killifish, Lamprey, Tunisian Barb, and European Eel. The building is based off the beautiful facade and blue *pishtaq* portal of the Mir-i-arab Madrasa in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, which is itself a part of the Poi Kalan complex. \n\n**Cari’s palace-** \n\nCurrently under construction by Cari, the palace is going to be where she lives, her main base of operations. The exterior and floor plan will be based off of the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yesevi in Turkestan, Kazakhstan. Construction is currently paused, as Hotland is investing heavily into tourism and infrastructure.\n\n**Hotland city hall and visitor center-**\n\nCari is sick of living alone out in the desert, so she is currently constructing a city hall/visitor center near the waystone. The goal of this is to get more people to travel to Hotland, with the hope that one or two may decide to make this their permanent residence. Its design is based off of the courtyard of the Al-Zaytuna Mosque in Tunis, Tunisia.
