Profiles and Hardcore runs
Separate save profiles, profile-aware ownership, permanent Hard Mode, and one-life runs.
When profiles unlock
Player profiles unlock after five hours of playtime. Your original character becomes profile one; creating another profile does not erase or convert it.
/profilesOpen the profile manager after it unlocks.
What is separate
Each profile has its own inventory, armor, Ender Chest, location, health, hunger, experience, advancements, statistics, recipe book, and player save state. Switching saves the current profile and reconnects you into the selected one.
Fishing Journal discoveries and profile-owned container locks follow the active profile. Personalized structure loot remains tied to the Minecraft account so alternate profiles cannot repeatedly claim the same generated loot.
Inactive secondary profiles can be permanently deleted from the profile manager. The main and currently active profiles cannot be deleted. Containers owned by a deleted profile remain tied to that profile, so transfer anything you still need before deleting it.
Trust between profiles
A profile cannot open containers owned by another profile on the same account unless it is trusted. When an account has multiple profiles, trust controls show a profile suffix where it is needed to identify the correct save; ordinary chat and player presentation keep the normal name.
Hardcore runs
A Hardcore profile permanently uses personal Hard Mode and is lost when it dies. It is a separate run rather than a server-wide Hardcore world.
A Hardcore death is announced publicly with both the real-time duration and the in-game day reached. The lost run is removed from the profile manager automatically; the player's main profile and other saves are unaffected.
A lost Hardcore profile cannot be resumed. Store anything meant for another profile through legitimate shared-world play before taking the risk.
Experimental death progression
An ordinary death removes one permanent maximum heart. The minimum belongs to the active profile and falls only as that profile reaches progression milestones. Reaching a milestone does not immediately remove health; it only lowers the floor for future deaths.
Easy mode always keeps at least 10 hearts. Personal Hard Mode keeps its five-heart floor until Electrum and Adamant, where it follows the lower progression floor.
- No milestone: 10-heart normal minimum, 5-heart Personal Hard minimum.
- Copper: 9-heart normal minimum, 5-heart Personal Hard minimum.
- Iron: 8-heart normal minimum, 5-heart Personal Hard minimum.
- Diamond: 7-heart normal minimum, 5-heart Personal Hard minimum.
- Nether: 6-heart normal minimum, 5-heart Personal Hard minimum.
- Stronghold: 5-heart minimum in both modes.
- Electrum: 4-heart minimum in both modes.
- Adamant: 3-heart minimum in both modes.
This progression-based death system is an active Alpha feature. Hearts, milestones, and difficulty remain separate for every profile.
Crystal Hearts and Personal Hard Mode
Ordinary Crystal Hearts restore one maximum heart up to the normal 30-heart cap, but cannot refill the five special bonus hearts granted by a Cursed Crystal Heart.
A Cursed Crystal Heart still grants its one-time five-heart bonus and enables Personal Hard Mode, allowing up to 35 hearts. A Pure Crystal Heart disables Personal Hard Mode, caps health at 30 hearts, and never lowers you below your current progression floor.
