Your first login
The server is fully plug-and-play: connect with an ordinary Minecraft client and accept the server resource pack when prompted. You do not need to install a datapack, mod, mod loader, or anything else on your computer.
The resource pack provides the custom items, equipment, interfaces, sounds, and world content used by Matcha, and is downloaded for you by the game.
The rules open automatically for a first-time player and may be closed normally. The in-game Matcha guide covers the core progression, while Journey recommends an objective based on the advancements currently available to you.

Choose your visual pack
The full Matcha pack includes the complete Matcha visual style. Matcha Vanilla keeps the custom assets required by server content while leaving ordinary Minecraft textures available for your own pack.
Your selection is remembered for future logins. Players are protected from damage while the required pack is downloading.

New-player safeguards
During your first five hours, blocks built by other players are protected from you automatically. You can still gather resources and build on untouched terrain. Dangerous placements such as fire, lava, TNT, TNT minecarts, and Wither summoning are restricted around established builds.
Container access follows its own owner and trust rules. An unlocked or public container may be opened, while a protected private container requires trust from its owner.
The protection is designed to stay out of normal play. Ask the builder to use /trust when you are working together.
